Mattel Intellivision
The Intellivsion was released by Mattel in 1979 to compete with the Atari 2600. The name stands for "intelligent television." Over 3 million units were sold and a total of 125 games were released for the Intellivision. When the Intellivision first arrived it sold for $299.99 and the pack-in games were Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack. Mattel also marketed the Intellivision by renaming it for certain retailers. The most popular of these being RadioShack's TandyVision.
